Miles of Grain is a new, multifaceted digital platform connecting clients with analogue photographers and videographers in the wedding industry and beyond.

Led by Emmylou Kelly, Miles offers global masterclasses, educational resources, and a directory of the best creative and industry professionals in the world. Combining planning with learning, clients can browse the carefully curated directory and dive into the blog, featuring real weddings and editorial articles captured through the lens of artists who specialise in shooting with film and other analogue formats.

Founder, Emmylou Kelly, started shooting on film whilst training as a fine artist at university. Her work was based on light, how different mediums perceive light and how the human eye translates this. Fast forward a few years, and as a successful hybrid wedding photographer herself, Emmylou has rekindled her love of film and has set about on a new mission; to inspire, engage and educate new and professional photographers and clients alike.

The photography industry has seen a notable resurgence of film as a medium, and a new age of analogue photography has started to emerge; there’s a need for diversity, a need for art to have an influence and a need for true artists to be seen and pushed through the fog of over-saturated repetitive imagery. And so, Miles of Grain was born.

To work with film is to work with chance. To some, this may seem daunting, but to others pushing the boundaries of art is an exciting prospect. Miles of Grain is a community of artists bound by a passion for showing the world we don’t follow trends… we create them… as true artists do.
